Miles Johnson
MA, LPC
Miles Johnson is dedicated to helping people make a positive change in their lives. Miles is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Before becoming a private clinician, Miles provided services to clients in foster care through the South Carolina Youth Advocate Program. He received his B.S degree in Psychology from Wofford College and his Master's in Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Miles has lived and traveled extensively all over the United States and Europe and loves working with people from diverse religious and ethnic backgrounds.
He has over 25 years of experience working with teens and young adults. He is committed to working with children, couples, families and adults from all populations. He has experience working with persons with disabilities and special needs and their caregivers. He has worked with clients who suffer from trauma, anxiety, anger, lack of coping skills, behavioral issues, and ADHD. He is committed to continue to educate himself in gaining more knowledge and skills to best help his clients.
"I tailor my approach to therapy for the individual client, drawing from many different therapeutic disciplines. I am most comfortable with REBT/CBT, but I sometimes use some Narrative, and Solution Focused techniques. Whatever works best to help the client make a positive change in their life."
Miles enjoys reading, cooking, camping and music with his wife and children in his spare time.
