Fear has a way of taking over our thoughts and life and freezing us in our tracks. Once fear has gotten a foothold within our lives it is hard to shake. The more popular view of fear is that we “Forget Everything And Run”. This is true, when fear takes over, we tend to forget what we need to do to stay emotionally stable. Fear causes us to forget everything that God has promised us. We turn and hide.

God did not give us a spirit of fear but one of power, love, and a sound mind, 2 Timothy 1:7. When we have the God of the universe beside us we can “Face Everything And Rise”. It is our choice. As we see events unfolding in the world around us, fear can creep in because we are focused on those things. Changing our focus and fixing our eyes on God enables us to stand up to what we fear.

Remember, courage is not the absence of fear but doing that thing even though we are afraid. God is with us every step of the way, and He will never fail us. Our strength comes from Him and not from within ourselves. All we have to do is reach out to Him in prayer, and He will answer. Psalm 22:19 “But you Lord, do not be far from me, You are my strength, come quickly to help me.”
