God Loves YOU!

God loves you! Everyone knows that God loves everyone, but have you ever thought about what that really means to you personally? God loves YOU! Taking time to reflect on the fact that the God of the universe who spoke everything into existence with the words of His mouth and has the power to hold it all together loves you individually can change your life. When God created the world, He used His words to make everything except humans. For us, He formed us with His hands and used His breath to breathe life into us. For everything else He created, He called it good, but for us, He called it VERY good. In Psalm 139, you can see a very clear picture of God’s personal love for us. “How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking of me constantly! I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the morning, you are still thinking of me!” (Psalm 139:17-18). God actually thinks of you!
Knowing how much God loves us changes how we view our lives. God knit you together in your mother’s womb, he knew all of the days of your life before one of them came to be. That means that He knows everything that will happen in your life from the moment you are born until the moment you die. He never promised life would be easy, but He did promise He would never leave us. If we realize this, when we face hard times, we know we are not walking through it alone. God loves us so much, He uses everything, good and bad to shape us into who He wants us to be.
One of the most amazing things about God’s love is that He gives it to us despite what we do. We can’t do anything to earn it and we can’t do anything to lose it. God knows you more intimately than anyone else and He loves you more than anyone else ever could. Before we were born, He knew we would choose to sin and rebel against Him, but He made us anyway and He loves us so much that He made a way for us to have a relationship with Him and to be able to live with Him forever in Heaven. Through the death of His own Son, Jesus we are able to become God’s children. “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are.” (1 John 3:1). That is amazing love and all we have to do it accept it. If you have accepted God’s love, you are a Prince or Princess. Let that bring you joy today, and why not share it with someone else so they can become a part of the family too? If you have not accepted God’s love, find one of His children and let them share with you how you can experience the greatest love ever!
