Hope that is grounded in Faith

Hebrews 11:1 says that “Faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not yet seen.”   This is a critical time to have hope. We believe in the importance of hope and have therefore named our counseling center, the Bridge of Hope!  Hope without faith however, is nothing more than wishful thinking.  Hope without faith is a desire that something should happen but without a foundation guaranteeing it will.  When we put our faith in a God that not only knows the future but holds the future, we can be confident that better days are ahead and that temporary trials are lessons on the road to a more permanent reality.  Faith tells me that life is more than what I see, more than what I have, and more than what I have experienced.  It reminds me that God is in control and that knowing Him and following Him is important enough that sometimes God allows difficult circumstances to remind me of this truth and to point me back to Him.
