Greetings to the First Baptist Family. I pray that all is well with your families. About 3 weeks ago I broke my leg due to a fall from a roof. I have had a history of wanting to complete an agenda or to overall finish a job. Looking back on it now, I should have processed a little more and been patient and the task could have been completed in a safer manner. However, it has humbled me in so many ways due to the possibility that I may not been able to run long distance for a long period of time. I’ve been humbled from not being able to drive my vehicles along with having to depend on the assistance of others, for which I truly appreciate. I’ve had to sit still for longer periods of time to ensure that I don’t make my injury worse. Sitting still has never been my cup of tea, but it has made me realize how important of a factor it can be to simply sit still and process life and count my blessings. I praise God that my injuries were not worse or even fatal. I have heard horror stories of others that fell from a roof and devastating results from their injuries. As a man I truly enjoy helping others and truly enjoy my independence. However, for this ordeal I am blessed because I realized how many friends, supports, and family that I have that truly care about me and have been there for me during these past few weeks.
I have hope and faith that I will be able to walk again with appreciation that I am yet blessed. We all have something to thank God for no matter our situations or turmoil. I am honored and thankful to be part of the Bridge of Hope and FBLEX family. I have never been at a place of comfort and love. I HUMBLY thank you all.
