Bridges!

Why do we call ourselves the Bridge of Hope? Bridges provide access from one place to another. Without a bridge of hope, you are stuck in despair, or anxiety and various types of dysfunctional relationships. A bridge allows you to cross from where you are to where you can be. You still have to be willing to cross, even if you are provided with a bridge. We will help and cross with you and we believe that Jesus is the ultimate bridge, but faith is still required to trust that bridge and take that next step!
Another thought about bridges is that they come in various sizes and shapes. Our counselors come from varied backgrounds, racial identities, and families of origin. Each of us can serve as a bridge of hope, as tiny representatives of our Ultimate Bridge. So can you. You may not be trained as a therapist or know how to evaluate mental health disorders or offer specific interventions, but you can also be a bridge of hope. Your own background and experiences brings a kind of hope that tells someone else that recovery is possible, hope is real and that with God all things are possible!
