Grief is defined as deep sorrow, especially when caused by the death of a loved one. Everyone experiences grief at some point in their life. Grief is a natural response to loss. The loss can be a failed marriage, death of a loved one, a health diagnosis  or the loss of financial stability. Whatever your loss, it’s personal to you and the pain can feel overwhelming. How one grieves is a personal experience and healing has no “normal” time. It is a process that happens gradually.
The deep sorrow of grief is often devastating, however, the Lord has provided hope during those times. As a Christian, we don’t have to grieve without hope and comfort. Psalm 34:18 says “The LORD is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. Psalms 147:3 He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds. And one day according to Revelation 21:4 He will wipe every tear from our eyes.
Having hope during a difficult time is a gift from God. It reveals our vulnerability and trust in a God who loves us and is acquainted with our sorrow. If grief is apart of your present journey run to the arms of a loving Savior. He will comfort you and provide the hope to sustain you through the healing process. Jesus is our Healer and our Hope!
