When I get home from work, I am greeted at the door by the happiest, incredibly welcoming, squealing, tail-wagging beside himself little dog named Scout! On several occasions, I have told my wife to take lessons from this guy, but she has yet to step it up to the same level that Scout does!

If I am to be honest, I also have yet to reach the level of Scout in welcoming a family member home. I wonder how it would impact our homes if we all began to greet each other the way that Scout does! He anticipates our return, watches out the window, and the minute he sees our familiar cars, the squealing and dancing begin. Perhaps, just perhaps, our family members would all be in a better mood, feel better about themselves, and share a little more joy if we welcomed each other home as Scout does!
