Sound of Progress

At the Bridge of Hope we have some good news and some bad news right now. The upstairs project to add office space is under way! That is very good news as we bring in more clients and counselors to meet with the clients that we want to offer hope to. The bad news is that things are a little loud some days and there is a lot of banging around going on upstairs even as I type this blog! But without the hammering, maneuvering and construction taking place, we cannot have the office space needed to help more people. So we are calling this the sound of progress. Maybe you have had things in your life that feel overwhelming and are hard to put up with. Perhaps you sometimes question the value of the rebuilding process as you begin therapy or allow God to examine an area of your life. When you do, remember that the challenges you are experiencing may be the price of progress. In less than two months, things will be quiet again upstairs, other than the occasional footsteps walking to and from our new offices. At some point, the rebuilding that God is doing in your life will be complete. The noise of the storm will pass. Meanwhile, recognize the inconveniences you are going through are not forever. It is the price of progress!
