Thoughts vs Feelings

Have you noticed that our blog is called thoughts of hope and not feelings of hope? We care about your feelings. God cares about your feelings. We would love to help you feel differently when you are sad, overwhelmed, anxious or angry. Changing feelings, however, requires changing thoughts. Feelings are what they are based on what you see. In other words, how you perceive things determines how you feel things. You cannot change your feelings directly. You cannot change the facts. You can only change your focus and that is accomplished by examining your thoughts, assumptions and beliefs and learning to replace negative and detrimental thoughts with ones that are positive and truthful. Identify what those self-defeating, negative thoughts and lies are that keep brining you down and replace them with words of truth and thoughts of hope. Remember that God created you for a reason, you are valued, you are not alone no matter how you are feeling today!
